Hey there, I'm new to this forum ☺️.

I just wanted to put my latest work/composition  "The Door Beyond" here.
It is a mixture of a few old compositions of mine edited with logic pro to one big song.
I am excited what you think about it.

I like the overall melody to it, It really accentuates the cathedral feel to it, along with the organ.

Welcome to the forum!

At 0:42 I think your drums could be WAY up in the mix. I always undermix mine because my headphones make drums seem super loud, so be sure to listen to your tracks through several speakers/etc. As a composition it's nice. Could have some more melody? What you've written is really nice as a texture and harmony piece, though. 2:49, cool rhythmic synth! I think I caught a weird note in that range, something chromatic that may or may not belong? 3:00 ish - finally a cool melody! Pump the snot out of that thing, it's a good one so let it come out big and proud! In general your volume is all on the quiet side - don't be afraid to reach for some real highs and lows!

Keep sharing! 🙂

Hi, thanks for the nice feedback! Yeah, the volume (especially the drums) is always a little hard for me to adjust. I think the weird note you talk about is a chromatic shift in the melody yes 😊.

This song is awesome. The drums could be louder, it would add the oomph it needs to truly give it an expressive emotion. But this song really inspires me to create music like it as well. I can imagine a game where this music would be perfect in, I am so glad I got to hear this.

Wow thank you for your feedback and i am very happy that it inspires you! It is also a dream of mine to make music for videogames.

Welcome to the forum!!!

I really like this overall. I got final countdown vibes for some reason? This is really cool! I think amping up the drums a bit at times and making them more intense (rising and falling in volume with the melody) would really add even more to it.

Great job!!!!
