caters
That layered pizzicato tuplets sounds interesting, I will definitely take it into consideration. Is there a chance you could add the score to the post so that I can see how the different tuplets relate?
Quinn
Sure. I'll pop it on in the morning. It's no nice neat thing. I roughed it on paper. Fact is, you may not need it as 'complicated'. It has duplets, triplets and quintuplets with notes missing. You may get a neater effect with just triplets against duplets, or triplets against quintuplets or quadruplets (or whatever they're called). With 2 playing pizz you'd have 3 instruments to do the main stuff in key, the pizzes avoiding key but with an occasional harmony note touched in. Hope it helps, anyway. 🙂
Luis Hernández
Perhaps exploring more timbres. This I used in a piece with col legno reminds me of the rain: LENTO CON TROMPA - Lento con trompa solista.mp3 MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu LENTO CON TROMPA - Lento con trompa solista > next
Quinn
Ok, sorry about delay, my camera battery had run down. Here's what I bunged in the daw. But I also rendered it again with the viola muted and everything else spiccato. There are plenty of variations depending on, like, if you want gentle summer rain or bleak winter pelting! If the sun's about to come out, put the tune stuff higher in the violins with the pelting going on underneath!
