I used to search about music composition forums very often and I came across this website on Google many times, just as homemusician.net as well, and I decided to join to see how it was.

I have to say that it exceeded my expectations.

muhmuhmuhmusic told me about it.

Recommendation from a collegue.

I found it via a Google search.

I'm an not much of a composer, but I'm really into ballet :) and during a holiday I was looking for new music suitable for a coreography. I think I clicked on the wrong link, but I ended up here, and out of curiosity I picked a random piece to listen. I loved it  (it was a waltz by Austenite but can't remember its title right now) - but it was very much like what I was looking for... That got me interested in music by other members as well, so I kept coming back to the site and discovered very good pieces, as well as polls and competitions :D . I'm rather shy and don't usually post on the forums, but I keep coming back time and again, and each time I find new lovely pieces. So I'm now stuck here  ...

Search engine "Orchestration Techniques"

I first found this: http://wiki.youngcomposers.com/Orchestration:_Techniques_of_Strings_-_Part_I

And I really learned a lot from it. I searched the website a little more, clicked Home, and found myself here.

By the way, is someone going to complete the orchestration techniques for all the instruments? I would really like to have that detail of orchestration for brass, woodwinds, etc.
