  1. @edfgi234 This piece has a lot of beautiful ideas. What happens, in my opinion, is that the rhythm is very strong and "marcato" and that's why some "quiet" part would make the return stronger. If a piece is very short it is less important (as happens in teh preludes and works like that).
  2. I think it's very good. I like it. The constant rhythm breaks very little time along the piece. Yes, sometimes it changes but, in depth, the rhythm is the same. I always thing some different part enhances the whole piece. That's waht you do in the arpeggio part, but that's the less convincing part (for me), althou, I insist, it's beautiful too.
  3. Look on "The Composer's Site", there is probably some stuff.
  4. Gotcha. Maybe that means other composers are having the same problem and you could suggest to a local music group that they organize a competition? In the age of the internet, it's not expensive to get an application out into the world. It's just a question of people being willing to take the time to set it up and review submissions. That wouldn't help you win a competition, since if you suggest the idea, you probably shouldn't apply, but being part of the panel that set something like that up and judged entries would certainly be something you could add to your music resume.
  5. I'll give it a try. Can it be just one instrument (piano), as I have not tried composing with more than one instrument present? Or would it be worth trying with several instruments?
  6. It's a clever idea and I think the audience will love it. - I love Gb
  7. So many possibilities! I would like to enter.
  8. I'm going for a week of vacation here soon, will post back with a yes/no based on whether I think I'll be able to give this a quality entry. I'm in, came up with some material already I think I can run with - game on everyone! Gustav Johnson
  9. Interesting theme. I may try to give this a shot if time permits.
  10. Thank you Jack Spitz and aMusic Composer for listening and commenting.
