I saw this pattern on another song and thought it would be fun to right a short song... well, here it is.

i like this...

very well done. I hope you take the opportunity to expound upon the theme a little more in the future.

It's simple but it works. Nice job.

that pattern looks familiar...hey that's from my "Afternoon"! From my "Three Impressions" composition! You took the first measure of Afternoon and changed the 4th beat notes. The first three beats are exactly the same. New melody of course. Very nice piece! Happy to have inspired a nice work!

Very nice piece indeed: it flows very well, one thing to the next. :)

Crystal stuff,

Very strong mood.

Yes MichaelJohn you are correct, your piece did inspire mine... LOL But that's when I do my best writing. I hope you don't think I'm stealing your piece, because although I took most of the first measure, the rest was mine... Thanks for the neat rhythm.

No problem using a small part of my piece. You changed the measure and then repeat the measure throughout, where my piece does not. Which makes your piece sound very different then mine. We all use snippets from other compositions, sometimes unknowingly/unconsciously. If your piece sells a million copies, could I get a 10% cut? lol!

LOL... Doubt that it does... but I'd be willing, since your piece was the motivation to make me write it. :) I might take a look at some more of them to get more ideas... lol

Crystal indeed. I agree with everyone so far. It's simple but it works, it flows nicely, and you might extent the theme in the future.

Very well done! Minimalistic approach at it.

Very, very nice! I love the way it flows! I must agree with... just about everyone here, and say it would be nice to have more development. I like the bass line. It's a very simple harmony, but it's just perfect, I think. I makes it flow just right...

It's a very soothing piece and you should be very happy with it! Maybe when I get back to my apartment from fall break I'll hook up my printer and sight read it! If I do....I'll get back to you and let you know what I think about the cleanliness of the score and so forth.

I rather hard to actually play even though it seems simple.

Yeah, I was looking at some of the intervals and it might be a little tricky. This could almost turn into a duet.

Nah. It's manageable, you can just alternate between hands. It'll be muddy but it'll work.

well the way I attempt to play it together is, Left hand has the bass staff and the triplets on the right... and the Right hand plays the melody that is above the triplets.
