Looks good, ties in well with the network.

I like how the forum subsections are easily seen under the main heading...

Nice work!

Sorry, I can't say I'm too fond of it like that. Especially because of the excessive musical imagery. Treble clef, violin, piano, staff line, concert hall chairs, repeat sign… Using all those stereotypical symbols to make it clear to the last idiot that "THIS SITE IS ABOUT MUSIC!" gives a somewhat unprofessional impression, in my opinion.

I like it, it looks clean, nice, states what this site is all about.

I dont like the violin in it or the amount of treble clefs in it, but everything else looks great.

It's horrible. I hate blue. OH, the new one. SUITE! No, I don't think there are too many musical artifacts in the design. There could be less, but it's fine as it is.

I cannot wait!!! Young Composers is finally gonna be the amazing place it deserves to be. :) :stoicjedi:

No, we wish to sound pretentious around here. "Diskyooshuns." Plus it reminds me of StarTerk - Locutus of Borg. We here enjoy our intelligent discutus.

Also, we won't have to pay royalty fees to use a Steinway on our banner, will we?

Actually, they should pay -us- for placing a commercial banner for them on our site.

Looks good. Thought this blue design was our new look? One question I have is where is the WIKI?

about the wiki thing...Chopin, did you get my wall post on facebook? You should put the IPBWiki thing. :)

We're integrating it this week, I believe.

I hope the IPB default remains an option for those of us who don't like to be reminded that this site has to do with music convulsively. I second what Gardener said, it looks rather amateurish honestly.

I'm not fully understanding this aversion to the skin having musical elements. After all, this IS a musical site, and this design will communicate to our audience that they are either in the right place, or the wrong place at first glance. With that in mind, I have asked for the full top headers in the event we decide to change our logo. Needless to say, the original IPB skin will remain an option.

The folder buttons don't seem to really match the theme... *scratches head*

Something about the banner irks me and I don't know what. It seems too crowded or too stuffy or too out of style in terms of design or something. Too many focal elements.

well as long as we get rid of this horrific blue thing that we have got going on here now... I'll be okay with it. I enjoyed ye olde colors... so I can't wait for the new super deluxe edition!

I just want a good lo-fi mode! :- P (not that i wouldn't occasionally use this one, if only to satisfy my curiosity)

Sooo, it's not looking to good at the moment...!

edit: oooh, all integrated, i see!
