Being a Walmart greeter will be a nice alternative in case that composition career doesn't work out.

Hahaha. :w00t:

I am sure it will work out fine, haha.

Welcome people I have not welcomed!

Should I reintroduce myself?

Why would you?

and yes, I did change my user title to "Official Walmart Greeter" XD

Should I reintroduce myself?

Who are you exactly?

Hi, my name is Egor. I've been playing guitar for 8 years. I adore to compose music, that's my life. Also i play piano and to say honestly, any string instrument. I've been playing in a rock band, but as we live in Ukraine, there is no chance to achieve something more, than i want, so it stopped.

IF YOU NEED A SONG, A SOUNDTRACK OR SOMETHING CONSIDERING MUSIC, I AM AT YOUR SERVICE, YOU WON'T REGRET)

Welcome to :yc:

I am sure you will achieve your goals.

and im looking for positive and mature composers to colab wit, chat so on

take care god bless

You'll find that many of the composers here are mature and intelligent, and some are even positive if it's obvious that you've got your stuff together. As long as you aren't afraid to take a little criticism, you'll do fine.

Hey everyone! Brad Samson here from San Diego, California. I'd consider myself a 'rookie' composer but I'm determined to develop my skills to a professional level. I hope you all can help to support that and I think I'm in the right place!!!!

Welcome, everyone after my last post.

Have fun here at YC and take advantage of YC!

Hi everyone. I'm Roy and graduated with a piano degree in 1991. I stopped playing for about 15 years but slowly getting back into shape and teaching a little.

In the evenings, I've been dabbling with some compositions. Very contemporary things. I'll try to post some pieces soon.

Hi! I'm Graham D. Cohen, from a small suburb of Phoenix, AZ called Cave Creek! I'm ten years old, started composing at three, I love cats, (for some reason, most democrats do.) cooking, and of course, music! I have written several symphonies, 4 concertos, and hundreds of pieces for orchestra. Welcoming every new member to :yc:!!!!!!!!!!!

I love cats, (for some reason, most democrats do.)

No wonder I love cats :)

Welcome all!

Hi, I'm Jaap Cramer, living in Holland, writing music since age 11. I used to write music in early-romantic style, but I start to dislike its predictability and simple forms. These are some of my favorite composers, Brahms, Alain (french 20th cent organcomposer), Shostakovich (except his last works). To give a idea of what I would like to evolve into. :)

No wonder I love cats :)

And we are both basically vegetarians. Wow, we have a lot in common!

Hi I am Michelle and have just discovered piano improvisations... loving it

Hi. I'm Brian. I'm 17 and going to be a senior in high school. I have been playing trumpet and composing for about 5 years.

My main interests are jazz and latin. I also love classical, especially contemporary from the 40's and 50's. I can appreciate almost anything though.

I like writing for large ensembles (like big band, wind ensmble full orchestra) even though many would say I'm going over my head. Though for a while now, I've just been transcribing thinngs here and there. I also like writing jazz heads and trying them with my jazz sextet.

I'm a bit lazy and unmotivated; I've only finished a few songs.

welcome to :yc:

I don't think that I'm a young composer anymore, but I came across this group while looking for new Finale information, and it looks like a great place for professional connections.

For general information about me, please visit Tiffany Moon, which contains links to my networking sites. Please feel free to contact me if you're on Facebook, YouTube, etc. NB: I'm not a friend collector; please let me know how I know you (that you're a composer from this forum) so that I'll add you if you send a request. -another NB: My YouTube page is a hub for my students and their parents, so your page has to be fairly wholesome for me to add you there.

My finding this site was timely because I've just uploaded www.harrypotteropera.com; I've been attempting to gain permissions for the Harry Potter Opera Cycle. Please find a link there to a short sample, an old ground bass that I stole from myself; it's become a theme for books 6 & 7.

-nice to meet everyone. If ever you reply or post to me and don't receive a response, please just assume that I've become very busy and feel free to write to my e-mail address.

Tiffany Moon

PS: I've just skimmed the rules; it's OK for me to include my homepage in my signature, yes?

PPS: -also skimmed as many posts as possible; are there a couple of vegetarians here? I'm raw vegan/frutarian, and I celebrated my 11-year vegan anniversary this June; I've asked everyone I know to help me celebrate by donating any multiple of $11 to In Defense of Animals (In Defense of Animals)!

PS: I also offer instruction through my music-immersion program in San Diego County. Please visit Institute of Arts and Letters for details. My location may become Washington state within the next year.

Musically,

Tiffany

Welcome, welcome! I will love to see what your opera cycle comes into when it matures into a project!

Welcome, welcome
Welcome Tiffany!
