August 5, 20187 yr Hi all 🙂 Here's a short (2'30) attempt at a string quartet. Any feedback appreciated 😉
August 5, 20187 yr * No need for the MFs. The breaks can't be "pretty loud". *No need to put these: at the end of the bar, you could just put full three quarters notes at the beginning of the bar. If you want the fluidity of the Fermata... you could start with a one quarter bar. *This interval doesn't fit well in the style you chose. Just pointing out, you don't have to change it. Again here: That's all I saw. Nice piece overall, though you should probably 1. make it more dynamic 2. watch these intervals 3. See that you don't put too many ideas there. Yes, you repeated yourself well and established some things, but for a two minutes piece, at least for my opinion, it has too many themes.
August 5, 20187 yr Hi, nice piece overall. There are some strong dissonances you have to fix, for example: Measure 20 D# y violin I and D in viola Measure 30 B-A#-B in violin I, A in violin II, C in viola, B in cello = cluster
August 6, 20187 yr Author Hi, thanks for you replies @Rabbival507 : you're right : there are maybe kind of too many themes used here in the end. I wasn't inspired that much while composing this so I used this mean I guess more spontaneously... ;) I'm not used to these interval notation you use, so not able to understand properly what you say twice about intervals in your reply. @Luis Hernández : thanks for noticing, I hadn't myself.
