String Quartet in A minor

No school for me today, lying in bed sick and can do nothing but compose. Hope you guys enjoy the music though.

It sounds dissonant, but at least you don't leave the dissonance hanging. The opening of this reminds me of a piece by Mozart. That being:

His Dissonance Quartet, so called because the introduction uses a lot of dissonant harmonies before it goes into the consonant Allegro which is definitely in C major.

It's nice. I was put on perhaps too much of a tempo ride with the ritardandos in the fast section... I kind of wanted for it to just keep going, you know?

Nice contrast between the fast and the central section. You apparently rely on simple motives but you exploit them very well.
