  1. I agree with Ananth. Practice. (also, write A LOT of music for bassoon beforehand.)
  2. OOOOOO Ravel Philip Glass (not technically challenging, but very gorgeous) John Adams (listen to what he's written, it's awesome) Bach and of course Debussy.
  3. I consider myself a concerto afficionado. 1. Ravel Concerto in G 2. Ravel Concerto for Left Hand 3. Rach 2 4. Lou Harrison's Piano Concerto 5. Bach Keyboard Concerto in D Minor God I love piano concertos.
  4. Is this better? also, I guess this would be a better Fughette. Fugue in C Minor.mid
  5. Two fugues I did. This thread is so fun!!!!!! Fugue in Eb Major.mid Fugue in G Major.mid
  6. Can someone here explain coltrane changes? I cannot understand them (they sound cool though!!!) What is the progression, how does it work? Etc.
  7. Technically speaking, Concerto in G is in my repertoire because I am working on it. Also, Mad Rush I can completely play :v
  8. Nah, I forgot about Rach 2 (I know, so sad :( ). And by repertoire, I am assuming you mean the entire repertoire of the instrument you can play, whether or not I can currently play it is irrelevant :v
  9. Cello = Easily the cello suites, easily. Piano = Ravel's Concerto in G, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, John Adams' Hallelujah Junction, Philip Glass' Mad Rush, I think that covers it.
  10. If I can I'll study with him for my master's degree. Either him or David Rakowski (MAYBE John Co, if he isn't, god forbid, passed)
  11. Ravel - all of his works other than bolero seem under appreciated. Lou Harrison John Corigliano Peter Warlock (capriol suite is godlike) John Mackey JONATHAN NEWMAN (OH MY GOD THIS MAN IS A GOD) http://www.jonathannewman.com/music.php?id=002 Frederrico Toroba Sahba Aminikia
  12. I just found Tallis as well. FML I WILL NEVER BE THAT GOOD :'(
