Give Me Salsa

Featured Replies

This is my entry into the "Most Annoying Music" competition.I have crafted two of these in particular to be irredeemably awful and irritating ^_^ Starting, .... NOW!*ahem*For my opus of awfulness, there are three movements. --Things start off with a melancholy, contemplative atmosphere, as the Moonlight Sonata's 1st Movement is played entirely by a salsa bell and a jawbone.--Then we head into yonder great chasm, a foreshadowing! For our second movement, we start to build steam into a festive party of joy and mirth, and food abounds!--For our third movement, all hell now breaks loose, as the pinata is woefully smashed, and my egg is cooked on the sidewalk with a brick. Where is verisimilitude? Where is sanity, pray tell?! Where is m-- ACK!*dies of a heard attack**ahem!*Well, I hope you find the music even worse than the intro.

Give Me Salsa

Awful. 0.01/10.

I want to give it 10 stars because you certainly achieved what you were aiming for yet....I don't want other people who wear headphones to listen to this thinking it is amazing then having there ears blown out and having a near heart attack lol XD

The first song was...so wonderfully bad. The same rhythm for about 3 minutes, sounds like it could have been a rap song haha. The 2nd one was....dare I say epic to a whole new extreme?? The 3rd, I am still recovering from being scared so much by listening to it at 3 in the morning after everything is all quiet then BANG BANG CLASH all that good stuff happened and my heart has been racing ever since. Haha, so...I want to say great job with this but...is that really the word choice I should be using??

P.S . I just tried listening again without headphones and once again I scared myself quite bad.

This sucks.

Congrats! :santa:

I've got my work cut out for me to make something more annoying than a monotonous moonlight sonata...

Wow, I was laughing all the way through... The third movement is probably the single most annoying thing I've ever heard in my life... How in the hell did you get it to sound like that?

Serge:

All of it was stupid and horrible. The first piece isn't even an accurate transcription, not in the right key, the third piece absolutely fries my headphones, and the second piece is hypnotically disgusting.

Nice job.

Actually, the second piece would do for an okay albeit harmonically simple heavy metal tune. Gotta bump up the rating a tad for that. ;)

this wins.

Roy:

Correct!

John:

Haha, cool :P The second is catchy...in the same way the Barney song can be, I think. "If you give me salsa, than I'll be your best friend!..." Haunting

Dorby:

Wise choice, don't give it a 10/10. My pieces here may actually destroy headphones, literally! I head a pair that succumbed to "Give Me Salsa"

JimmyJuicin:

How are you going to beat the Moonlight Sonata played by a cowbell, in terms of monotony? You've got your work cut out for you: I can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Hugo:

Glad to be of entertainment! I got it to sound the way it does by raising the decibel level on all of the single instruments to max, and then turning the overall volume to max, so when it exports, it's literally so loud the computer can't process it.

Peter:

Hypnotically disgusting...I very much like that ;)

Morgri:

Haha, thanks :D I have set the bar pretty high, methinks: what will others come up with? :hmmm:

Thank you all for your great comments

I actually love the third movement, so I guess you fail at your objective. First movement is excellent meditation music. I guess.

You know, if you listen to the third movement on low volume without paying much attention to it, it's quite spectacular... I'm serious, it's cool!

I really enjoyed the second two, maybe would've enjoyed the second one more with out the repeat and more development. I don't know why anyone would think they sound like heavy metal.

The first one would've been good, had it been an accurate transcription of Moonlight Sonata mov. 1. MS has three voices, by the way. Here's a hint on one way to enjoy it: the better you know the Moonlight Sonata, the more enjoyable it is. It forces the listener to experience a piece of music entirely through their inner ear.

If you give me salsa, then I'll be your best friend? Three words: FAN-TAS-TIC!!! I haven't laughed so hard since, well, I've never laughed so hard in my life!! But beware serge, whenever you come up with an awful piece, I just have to out do you (or at least try) This piece was horrible, insane, obnoxious, and downright idiotic...GREAT JOB!!!!! :D

Thanks for another bruise... I jumped out of my seat again on the third movement and banged my leg.. <_< <_<

It is, however....

It's horribly, disgustingly, horrificly, mind-bogglingly, jaw-droppingly terrible! Worst piece of music ever, hands down.

seriously respect for making this, I wouldnt even try to do this, it sounds horrible, haha.

MusicFiend:

Haha, yeah, the last movement has been around for some time now, and it's kind of a cult favorite around here  I actually kind of like it myself, in a way.

Last life:

I love playing the Moonlight Sonata 1st movement (am currently learning the next two: the last one's a doozy though, to play, although easy to remember the broken chords ), it really is quite a deep and beautiful piece. But there's nothing like poking fun at great pieces, haha!

John Bucket:

Ummm...duh?  Yes, it is quite an inaccurate transcription, isn't it? Salsa bells and jawbones aren't known for their wide range of pitch, after all.

(I know you're just playing :P)

Maestro:

I'm glad you got a kick out of it! I think it's pretty funny too, in an extremely annoying way. Maybe if I'd truly wanted to win, I'd have made the lyrics less hysterical...Oh well :dunno:

Hekla:

Sorry about that. This piece has really come back to haunt you a number of times now, hasn't it?

Jij:

Thanks! It really is hard work, actually, to make bad pieces, ironically. Except for the first one, which was a cinch.

Thank you all for your comments :)

First movement  one little jawbone plugging away for three minutes ... the most epic WIN ever!! Overall, however, though a creative idea, a little urrrr bland for my tastes :D

Second movement: If only Jedward would sing this live - it'd really be the best. A inspiring chaotic run up till 1:13 ... but I actually quite liked it :P I little repetitive but *winces and switches off* MAI EARS!!!

Third movement: What do I say...here we have a fine young composer, full of creativity and talent :)

Great work Zach!! I can see all the hard work and finetuning you've put into this :P

I would give it a 1, but that's too kind....I'll just not rate it at all xD
