December 27, 200619 yr CALL FOR SCORES Composers 20 years old and under are encouraged to submit scores for performance by the Sinfonia Contemparis in July 2008. Submitted works should be scored for chamber orchestra and optional soloists. Any instrument and vocalists (soprano, mezzo, countertenor, tenor, baritone, bass) are available for performance. Piano reductions are required for any work using a soloist. Reductions are encouraged for all scores, but not required. No work submitted should be premiered or published. Three works will be selected for performance. Composers from all countries accepted. Sinfonia Contemparis was formed by a group of high school and college musicians in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. The group's conductor is Eric Johnson. He and other members of the ensemble will select the scores. December 27, 200619 yr Author I am a composer myself and have no interest in stealing your work! I don't know how to prove it to you...but if you put copyright symbols on the work or maybe sign each page, I will have a hard time stealing it! Honestly, this is not my intention.
December 27, 200619 yr So...if my 21st birthday were, say, August 5th, would I still be able to participate in the contest? And, by 'every instrument', do you also mean Alto Sax? And Guitar/Banjo (one player)?
