  1. The general atmosphere (more in the slow parts) is unique, I like the "dirty" sound of the chords.
  2. @Youngc The idea is to use it as a theme (as you can hear in the versions others did before you), but if you just want to play around with the notes is fine too. Try and make something different from the pieces that have already been uploaded, and contribute your part, with your point of view, with the piece you'd create with that melodic statement.

It's a little slow for club music, don't you think? Your melody moving from the i to the VI chord jumps and is a little awkward because of the tritone leap. The use of the "Great Dictator" is a little strange considering how relatively laid back the rest of the track is. It clear up some of the monotony from the track, but I do think the track should change eventually, especially when Chaplin gets more emotional. Even club music does that.
  4. The thing is, individual percussion instruments seem technically easy until you factor in the likely performance circumstances. The reason a guy gets paid the same to hit a triangle a couple of times to the other guy playing his violin non-stop for two hours is that the triangle player is also being trusted to count massively long rests accurately, stay alert during long periods of rest, and move around the stage. Not to mention that he also needs to play marimba, snare drum, toms, bells, possibly timps and piano as well in his job role. Mastering the instrument is only half the work, and the learning curve of musicianship is equally hard for everybody. Any small child can bang a tambourine but how many can bang it with perfect rhythm and nuance for an entire piece?
  5. Almost all XVII, XVIII, XIX Centuries works, with some exceptions.
