Categories for Nominations Compositions • YC top composition of the year • Top Major works piece • Top Orchestral piece • Top Chamber Music piece • Top Choral/Vocal piece • Top Piano Music/ Solo Keyboard piece • Top Incidental/Soundtrack piece • Top Jazz, Band or Pop/Rock piece • Top Avant-Guard/Electronica piece • Most under-rated or over-looked piece Threads • Thread of theYear • Most thought-provoking thread • Most pointless thread • Oddest thread • Most helpful thread • Funniest thread • Most controversial thread • Most memorable thread • Most enjoyed journal • Most under-rated or over-looked thread Wiki (go read it!) • Favorite Article • Best Written Article • Best-Written Profile Members (composition) • Top Composer • Most improved composer • Most useful reviewer • Most frequent reviewer • Most “creative”, “different” or “innovative” style composer • Most tech-savvy member (related to music) • Best Teacher (lessons) Members (community) • Member of the year • Most controversial member • Most loved member • Most well known member • Funniest member • Nicest member • Best member to talk to • Member who has contributed most to the community • Biggest waste of organic material • Most loved staff member • Most "disliked" staff member • Biggest asshole ** • Biggest n00b ** • Most “intelligent” poster • Oddest member • Most sex crazed member • “Staff’s pet” • Most missed member For all member voting categories, with the exceptions of the categories marked by double stars, nominees must have been members for at least three months as of Dec. 31st, 2007. For any category that says Top- or Best- anything, use your own criteria to base your decisions. Nominations only for now. The actual polls will be posted up in exactly 2 weeks, please send your nominations before then. Results will be posted Dec. 31st or Jan. 1st, depending on your time zone (I’m in -5 GMT) Simply copy and post this thread into a PM and put in your nominations (I’m trying to keep this as private as possible, to eliminate things like peer pressure and cheating). A few “rules” and “guidelines” • You may have a max of 3 nominations per category • You may nominate any member an unlimited number of times • Nominate by username • When nominating a piece, try to use ones posted between Jan 1st, 2007 and the present. • When nominating a thread, you can vote for one created before 2007 as long as it is still or recently has been active • No, you don’t need to nominate for every category but please do as many as you can. Categories will too few nominations will be removed. • Yes, you may vote for yourself • Try to vote for the person you think deserves it most, not who you talk to most.
