Piano concerto in C minor mmvt 2, adagio

Featured Replies

The second movement of my piano concerto, I wrote it during the lockdown and I feel like it exemplifies my mood throughout.

I'm particularly pleased with the brief piu mosso section. I wanted to upload it with note performer, although I currently don't have my finances in order. so I didn't, if I get it soon I'll re-upload it.

Please let me know your thoughts, and I'm working on the final movement, as I'm not short on time.!

Good work

The piano part is not very complícated. I don’t think it is bad.

what i miss is a climax, an orchestral tutti with the piano.

It's nice. The structure in the begginig is very Mozartian (I do not know if that evens exists:sweat:) . It reminded a lot to the adagio of Mozart's 23 piano concerto.

personally that was my intention. at least what I perceived. theres an amicable agreement between piano and orchestra at the end. and a brief respite in the major section but aside form that the two sides have very different themes and conversation. which was my idea.

Lovely movement! Yes, I can hear Mozart's print there...no wonder after the 27 exeptional Piano Concerti he left 🙂

Reminds me a lot of the wonderful slow movement in Mozart's piano concerto no 23, perhaps a little too much on the nose at times but quite nice.

Such a blatant copy

Is this your first attempt at a work for piano and orchestra?  I wish you would have picked more original melodic material and not tried to fit into any particular form - I'm sure the result would have been a lot more interesting.  I feel like sometimes composers forget that their inexperience can be their strength.
