Quite straightforward, I searched for "composers forum" on google, and there it was!

I was on Google.com and i typed "How to Harmonize" and this website came out. and i read the an article on here.

and i've been a member since July 2007

Like many other’s I’m a Googler. It’s the only search engine I use. It never fails to produce useful results.

I’m pretty sure I typed in “Composer’s Forum” because that’s what I was hoping to find.

I do recall that it came up with several different ones, but the others just didn’t seem to be very attractive for one reason or another (don't ask me what they were I don't remember). I liked the layout, look and feel, of the Young Composer’s forum site. At first I was hesitant to join (I’m 58), but then I read on the home page that old farts are welcome and encouraged to join despite the site’s title. So I joined.

I’m glad I did because it gives me a place to ramble on and on and on. (ha ha)

I’ve found everyone here to be very helpful and genuinely sincere about sharing their musical knowledge and wisdom as well as their wonderful works of musical art! So I’m addicted now.

I’ve only been here a very short time and I’ve already learned tons of stuff. I read a lot of lessons threads, etc, that I don’t post to. I try to stay out of people’s way and post in my own threads. But in my own threads I do tend to ramble on quite a bit.

Owl shut up now since this isn’t my thread.

Google..... music composition forum

I prefer google search,I will type "young composer" in google search bar

google + "composing" = YC

It took me a while to find these forums... In fact, I think it is difficult to find ANY forums for composition. Anyhow, I found youngcomposers through a list of links on a music site somewhere, can't remember exactly which one. This forum seemed to be the best one I could find with a reasonable amount of activity.

Google. I dont remember my exact words but I was actualy just looking for a piece that used sibelius sounds so I could hear them in action. Then I found this- I have been looking for a forum like this for ages.

God knows how I found the original forums. I found these ones when I was looking for the old ones again I think.

Google - I think I typed in 'How to become an amazing pianist' and came out with TurbanToe's thread in performance, kept a note of the site and signed up next time I had a problem.

2007, Yahoo, "young composers"

1, Summer 2007..Google and typed in "Young Composer Competitions" came up 2nd or 3rd.

Was looking for a place that young composers could join and submit work.

Was on Gaming World and saw a thread for a competition that was being held over a few forums and saw this one. I'd been thinking about looking for a place like this for a while.

I typed "composing forum" into Google.

I think I was searching for the words to an Eric Whitacre piece...really found this place completely by accident

I found it on Google! :)

Any body find YC by not "googling" it???????
