  1. Rautavaara's third. "Gift of Dreams". A master piece where the composer creates different superimposed layers or atmospheres, and where tonal and dissonance live together.
  2. Original Themes/OST by Toby Fox. Arrangement by TCGFerrum. Howdy, it's me again. I've been very inspired by the OST of Deltarune Chapter 1 and kinda want to make a piano concerto arrangement for some reason, so here's the first draft of it. I don't even know if piano concerto is the correct term to use. The orchestra part is almost equal to the piano part, but the piano part is a little bit more prominent. So I'm kinda conflicted on that one. I do develop some of the motifs and themes to make transitions to the next track/theme, reharmonization and stuff, so hopefully it doesn't sound too simple and cheesy. It kinda has a structure, but it may change as I planned to add more track to the piece. No, I haven't made a score yet. Too busy. Honestly a little bit nervous to upload this draft, but we'll see how it goes. Feel free to leave a feedback down below. Enjoy!
  3. I've been working rather hard on this piece and have a full movement of a concerto, I hope you guys enjoy and any feedback is welcome.
  4. Hi all, I've not posted anything here for quite a while, been busy with other things, but I've also been working to finish my first fully orchestrated piano concerto. The first movement was posted here about a year ago, but the second and third movements are new. The first movement has also been edited and hopefully improved as I added a short cadenza that I felt was missing from the first movement, as well as changing the odd passage here and there. Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with the final edit. As always, any comments are welcome and gratefully received.
  5. This was my first attempt at writing a concerto, so any tips or feed back is greatly appreciated!
  6. Hello everyone, I have listened to Piano Concerto No. 5 in E♭ major, Op. 73, by Ludwig van Beethoven and, have fallen in love with it. After listening to this I have decided to write one of my own! Listed below are the characteristics of it. Key: A♭ major Tempo: 110 bpm Time Signature: 4/4 Instruments: 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 2 Clarinets (in B♭), 2 Bassoons, 4 Horns (in F), 2 Trumpets (in B♭), 2 Tenor Trombones, 1 Bass Trombone, Timpani, 1 Grand Piano, Violins 1, Violins 2, Violas, Violoncellos, and Contrabasses. I have chosen these instruments based on other piano concertos that I have listened to in the past, like Tchaikovsky No. 1 and Rachmaninoff No. 2 and would like to imitate them. This is my first piece of music that is being written for full orchestra. Any and ALL tips and tricks about orchestration, writer's block, creativity, creating new themes, motifs, or writing fun and exciting and fun, new music are very well needed! Please feel free to comment below about any and everything about anything about the piece. Thank You!
  7. Hi everyone, I have finished composing the Second Movement of my Piano Concerto No.1. This is my first attempt to write a slow movement for piano. Hope you like it and any comments are appreciated! Thank you! Best, HoYin (P.S. Link to 1st Mov.: )
  8. This is my original piano concerto written in a two-piano score. The audio is Finale playback with 2nd piano using a string sound. I’ve also been working on a quartet version.
