  1. This is the title song from my musical by the same name, the second half of the video explains the context of the song. The song is meant to be a fifth lower, accompanied by string orchestra, and sung by a tenor. I'd appreciate feedback both on the video and the music- not the performance, I'm a professional violinist, not a singer! Cash
  2. Macabre is an hybrid orchestral piece that I wrote for a friend's tabletop rpg called Oddland. It is a world of mystery, oddity (as you can imagine) and plots. I had a lot of fun playing with how the brasses and strings could sound in the big hybrid drops. Main Vst's I used: Omnisphere synths, Spitfire Albion, the gentleman, and quite a lot of sound design to get to that creepy/hybrid/big feel. I hope you'll enjoy this one.
  3. Hello I'm working on a horror soundtrack for a film and I'm pretty new to the genre so I'd love as much help as I can from you guys PLEASE. This piece is for the opening of the film, where a spirit is travelling silently through the streets of a neighbourhood. It then begins to narrow in on a house and travel toward a window. It passes through the glass (1:05) and to where a newborn baby is sleeping in a cot and then moves towards it. That's where the scene cuts out. Please let me know if things don't sound right or fit the scenario as I never get to work on films and I just want to make a good impression haha.

    Haraas

In Persian language, Haraas (Persian : هراس) means "fear". I'm a big fan of horror music and after listening to lots of "Funeral Doom" and "Witch House" music, I decided to write a piece myself. I studied horror elements again and started writing this piece. I really like the result, because it has the sense of "endless" fear, in a dark and cold jungle. You know, it's like when you see a victorian building in middle of jungle and when you decide to enter the building, you got surprised by looking at something weird, creepy or scary. Such as an unknown monster, an alien, a jinn (you know jinns are very popular in middle eastern horror stories!), or even a person whom got killed in a brutal way and it makes you scream and escape! DAW : FL Studio VST FX : Blackhole Reverb, Fruity Reverb, Fruity Parametric EQ2, Fruity Compressor, Fruity Limiter VST Instruments : Addictive Keys, Native Instrument Symphony Essentials (Bass & Violin) , FPC (HQ Rock Kit), DX7 (Pads), Vital Mallets (Bells), 8Dio Free Angels (Rain Samples)
  5. Imagine an old church, in middle of a jungle. It rains. Church is abandoned for more than one hundred years, but when you arrive, the bells start to toll, a woman starts whispering and it makes you scared, and ... let's hear it!
  6. 3 tracks I composed for an indie horror video game project, which was unfortunately discontinued by it's creator after some time. Decided to still upload these pieces, since it was my first real attempt in writing something in this style.
  7. Howdy, I tried my best to compose the score to a little horror production called „Sarah”, a short film (18-19 min) produced by film students from all departments about a series of murderous events around a remote cabin the woods. It was executed for educational purpose only; nobody involved got any money. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVx9Q85qQ40 However, I am eager to get some early feedback on the music, especially some hints concerning the mix and the overall sound. Is it realistic enough? If not, what sucks the most? Of course, there were no real accoustic instruments involved. Fell free to tel me what you think about it. :) Maybe you'll recognize the major motif (a falling fourth/tritone shift) here or there. ;) Best regards Dustin
  8. I know it is not fitting for the Christmas season but here is a scary track I'm working on. I started this on October 28th but decided to work on it more as my music-know-all friend decided to take Christmas vacation wit us. I have lots of advises so I am inspired to keep on music composing.
  9. Hi, I have been busy working on a horror album and it has 5 tracks complete so far. You can listen to it here.
  10. (Above is just a visualization image, not my game) This is an accompanying tense music for a scene on my game where the player is investigating a mysterious town in the outlands where there have been reports of cult activities. This is track meant to be faded in and out at certain intervals only. It is a space filler.
  11. I've been working on this album for 2 days now. It was a mixed album (ambient, metal and Gothic horror) This album was inspired by Akira Yamaoka, a composer for the Silent Hills series. https://hanszimmerman.bandcamp.com/album/ghost-town Can you point out it's flaws and provide helpful criticism?
