  1. Hello everyone! The last week I've worked on an arrangement of a folk/trad song. It's originally called "Have you seen the ghost of tom". I find the melody quite melancolic and in the first part of the piece I try to express that feeling. But later I tried to make it brighter and more heroic like "a toast to Tom!". Anyway, that was what I was thinking of making this piece. I had a great time making this one! Any feedback or criticism is appreciated?
  2. Hello musician friends, few weeks ago I created this little piece, i just wanted to have a little feedback on it, if you have a little time ! Don't hesitate to give your advices on what can be improved ! I started composing orchestral cinematic music 1 year ago thanks for listening if you do, and have a nice day !
  3. Hello musician friends ! I'm all new on that forum, and I decided to share with you this little composition of mine which is orchestral with a bit of metal. I'm not very experienced as a composer since I started composing orchestral music 1year ago, only by ear and without any musical theory. ...And I started composing on Fl Studio 5 months ago. I hope you will like it, and do not hesitate to tell me what is good and what is not in my music ! I wish you all a nice day !
  4. Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my latest piece with you guys. Any feedback regarding arranging, orchestration and mixing is appreciated:)
  5. I was wondering if anyone could make some recommendations for artists that use a lot of woodwinds in orchestration. I can't say I have heard all of hans zimmer of two steps from hell's music, but I have been having trouble trying to find cues on when to add woodwinds into orchestration. I like the idea of starting off a song with bassoons and contrabassoons, bass clarinet.
  6. This tune is based on a custom Mario Kart Wii track, Kinoko Cave. It is set in the night, and one part is a cave filled with water and crystals and green mushroom trampolines. Special thanks to my friend for recording gameplay footage with my music, because I can find out how the tune syncs with the music!
  7. Hi all 🙂 Here's my last symphonic study in A minor. The wisest among you will still find some dissonances inside, but I confess I have spent for myself enough time on it. Hope you'll like some moments… 🙂 Regards
  8. Hi guys! I was just wondering if you had any ideas what bird this piece of music would symbolize. I'm trying to make a musical suite of birds.
  9. Hey guys I had the idea of scoring a soundtrack for a picture. Hope you like it 🙂 Atas Awan - The Tales of the Ferryman
  10. Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a tune I've been working on the last weeks. Tried to make a light and easy theme with elements of something cold or frozen maybe. I know it's very short but I like making these short tunes as a learning tool for improving my orchestration and mixing skills. Any comments?:)
  11. Hi all. I'm new to the group and would love some feedback on my first upload. If this forum would prefer uploads directly to this site, rather than linking to SoundCloud, please let me know. 12. Here is my latest orchestral tune. I was aiming for a sound in between realistic "live" orchestra and cinematic "epic" sound with big drums. I'd love to get some critical reviews of this.
  13. New release by Sinfonia Varsovia. http://www.sinfoniavarsovia.org/en/-a-warsaw-polonaise-for-an-independent-poland-announcing-the-res.html
  14. Hello everyone! :) I am new here and I am glad that I can be a part of this community. I hope we will have good times together. Anyway, I would like to share with you my latest composition which I did and I would be glad for any feedback and constructive criticism (these things push people forward) I made this composition using virtual instruments. And also there is another question. I would really like to study and learn more about composition so I've hoped that you could show me some good staff where search. Also, I am thinking about school do you think is it possible for me with almost no experience in this sphere? Thank you very much for every response CH_OverWorld_Theme_Robert_Bruckmayer.Mp3
  15. I would love some feedback on the composition in general and the orchestration. The score is in concert pitch thus it´s easier to read. The score and engraving is not yet perfect, I am aware! Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKkrsACLiCI
  16. Hello, I wanted to share two recent tunes here. The first one is an ambiant composition with female choir, 12 chord guitar, flutes, delays, textures and drums that conveys advanture and danger. "Corrupted Dunes" The Second one is a Metal composition with guitar solos, bass fills with wah wah pedal and a heavy and tight drum. "At Rl'yeh House" Hope you guys enjoy!
  17. Would appreciate your feedback on something I was working on. Everything's been programmed.
  18. Hello from my home! I just want to know you guys thoughts. Thank you for listening! :)
  19. Many pieces that John has composed usually have a memorable melody in it. If you start humming my melody after you listened to it. Please comment below! And you can give me some suggestions too.
  20. Hi there, for a long time I wanted to write something like this: a flamboyant "final fight" track with broad, heroic themes swirling above driving ostinati. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=674265&songID=13676086 Originally this piece belongs to the score I wrote for a student film project realised many many years ago. The music was produced via a MIDI-based digital sequencer and of course orchestral sample libraries. Unfortunately, the London Symphony Orchestra was just too busy at the moment for a recording session. :P While the last bars in asymmetrical 7/8 meter surely feel a bit overloaded (with syncopated choir fills and such), I am quite happy with the overall arrangement and the final mix. But maybe I am a little bit biased since I listened to it too often and it's just chaos to your ears... 😉 If you have some hints on how to improve the mix, sound, orchestration etc. please feel free to let me know. Best regards, Dustin
  21. Another piece with not much in mind but trying to be free and expressive for background music. I also have new software by Spitfire which i'm obsessed with. Feedback and criticism welcome.
