This is my first posting on this forum. This is the second piece of my waltzes suite, written in c# minor.. It's nicknamed "memories during quarantine". The opening part resembles resembles the thinker's current situation as he is mentally exhausted by the restrictions put upon him and the entire world. Then the person think's of the good times before these. To show that the waltz modulates into e major and back to c# to reach him in the current situation. Note:The Piece was made using Flat.io. It is inspired of Schubert's serenade and my favourite Chopin's nocturne and waltz in C# minor. hope you like it. Here is the fifth prelude in my set. A very virtuosic prelude. as I view D major as the virtuosos key. also quite heavy and at least in my opinion fun to listen too. Please leave thoughts down below 🙂

A piece that a friend commissioned me to write. just a simple waltz that I wrote in a day. It's repetitive and relatively simple but yeah I hope you enjoy. It's in rondo form and is essentially me trying to be as unoriginal as possible and I think it is one of my best especially as I didn't think too much about it.

Hello, I play piano since 10 years with a teacher and I try to learn composition by myself. I read some books about harmony, it is a bit hard for me. I think I will try to learn counterpoint soon. Hi everyone! This is going to be my first post on this site, and I would love to hear what people think of this piece. I wrote it between mid-March to mid-April, and it has formed into one of my favorite pieces. It is only one movement, which is why the official title is not going to be "Sonata." Yes, it is in sonata form, but I do not want to write any extra movements.Score.pdf On a side note, I genuinely have no idea how to engrave the score to look nicer. Any tips would be appreciated!

The second movement of my piano concerto, I wrote it during the lockdown and I feel like it exemplifies my mood throughout. I'm particularly pleased with the brief piu mosso section. I wanted to upload it with note performer, although I currently don't have my finances in order. so I didn't, if I get it soon I'll re-upload it. Please let me know your thoughts, and I'm working on the final movement, as I'm not short on time.! -

I have finally completed this piece - No. 3 of 'Pieces for Pianoforte' Op. 21 - after months of composer's block. I initially intended to write an upbeat piece in the key of C major that continues the East-meets-West theme (a Scandinavian halling dance with a Chinese-style tune). However, due to the development of recent global events, I have found myself sinking into short (but intense) episodes of despair. And so, I shelved that piece, finding myself unable to sincerely work on the piece. And I wrote this: a prelude in the key of A minor (ending on its parallel major, A major). Hello everyone, It has again been a while since I have posted anything, and I have a new piece to show you all: the Fantasy-Variations in G-sharp minor. This piece was written in 2020. The theme is based on an aria from the 1967 opera "Grigory Melekhov" by the composer Ivan Dzerzhinsky. Ivan Dzerzhinsky (1909-1978) was a Soviet composer and pianist, best known for his operas and popular songs. His most famous work is the 1935 opera "Quietly Flows the Don" (based on the novel of the same name by writer Mikhail Sholokhov), which was a success at its premiere, and which launched Dzerzhinsky's career as a composer. He continued writing operas over the next several decades, including "Virgin Soil Upturned" (from which the duet "The Cossack Song" has since become popular among Russian ensembles), "Fate of a Man", and of course, "Grigory Melekhov" (also based on Sholokhov's novel). Aside from operas and vocal works, he also composed piano concertos and piano suites. His music usually is quite traditional and accessible, many pieces bearing similarities to Mussorgsky and even Puccini. With the exception of "The Cossack Song", his works receive very few performances today, and they are almost entirely within Russia. Furthermore, he has been labeled a "hack" by musicologists for his musical style, and for his status within the Soviet Union. I wrote this piece because I thought Dzerzhinsky's melody was too beautiful to be forgotten, and I wanted to make it available to other people, as well as to add something new to it; this is not meant to be a political piece. I am new to this forum. I have worked on and off for the last 2 months or so on this sonata. You can view my score at : https://musescore.com/user/27866262/scores/6096785 Feedback is welcome 🙂 This is the first piano sonata I have composed and am satisfied with, after multiple attempts. I have written it in a classical/romantic period style. I hope you guys like it. I'm still not sure about whether to include the fugue in the third movement development. I like the fugue but it goes way too long and the development with it clocks around 11 minutes 😕. There's also meant to be way more pedal, such as in the arpeggio sections.

Finally I have a chance to compose something for a bigger sized orchestra and piano solo. This is my first time composing music for such big varieties of instruments. This particular piece is a very special piece of music to my heart because I wrote it when I lost almost all of my other compositions due to a faulty laptop I was working on. I do think, however that this incident has triggered my most creative and productive skill yet. Where some of my previous compositions were dull or clearly based off other composers, this piece is almost a funeral march for my lost works, and (I hope) expresses my anger towards the loss but also the light that has triggered my recent creative spree. I hope that you enjoy the composition, and I am desperate to get some feedback on it.
